In this tutorial we are going to show you how to make a Create Post form with Divi Form Builder from Divi Engine for a Custom Post Type and assign that post to only one category.

You need:

Divi Form Builder (Obviously)
Divi Machine
ACF

First you create the ACF Field Group and set it to your Custom Post Type. Then create the Select field with the Categories.

First i created a select option in ACF – in my case 2 options:

Option 1
Option 2

Save. And remenber the category names – you need them later.

Now go to the page where you want your Divi Form Builder Create Post form.

Add the Divi Form Builder – Create Post

Then i created a category select in the Form Builder and set it to “Auto-detect from mapped fields” and used the “Exclude auto-detected options” and entered that (Option 2)

Under “Mapping Options” i chosed “my taxonomy” and “categories”.
Lastly i went to the “Advanced CSS field” and inserted: display:none; for the Category Select field.
